Every Versatile team member;
- Have been inducted and familiarised with our plant and equipment. Hold the relevant high risk work licenses and have understood and signed onto the SWMS tailored to your project and approved by a Versatile supervisor.
- Perform daily pre-start inspections and ensure that any scheduled crane and machinery maintenance is carried out prior to attending site.
- Arrives at your job with the correct PPE and an open mind.
- Assesses each job on its own merits to, eliminate where possible using the hierarchy of controls to appropriately manage all hazards.
- Ensures that all acts comply with Workplace Health and Safety and codes of practice. That all work is carried out within the guidelines of the SWMS and other site specific requirements.
Versatile Crane Hire ensures every step of the way that full compliance with ISO 9001, AS 4801 and the relevant Codes of Practice are adhered to. This includes constantly updating our safety systems from experience, through safety tool box talks and by identifying and managing additional risks that have arisen on other projects. Depending on the complexity of the work, CAD Studies can be provided to the client to assist in identifying, limiting and controlling risks.
At the required intervals, Versatile Crane Hire conducts regular CraneSafe inspections and Scheduled Maintenance across the whole fleet. This includes test & tagging of chains, slings and ancillary lifting equipment.
